Sal: the saliency driven robot head

Sal is a robotic head that makes head and eye movements to
follow interesting things in its environment (the
activity of people and objects in its surroundings).
In addition, the head will is capable of locating and
recognize visual objects in real time.

For now the robot can perform Tarot card readings or other object recognition using SIFT.

The software is available from http://ilab.usc.edu/toolkit/ under the newvision2

Once the software is compiled you can run newvision2 --head-demo
